Transportation Policy

In support of the School’s mission to care for the citizens of North Carolina, experiential training sites have been carefully selected and developed in all regions of the state. All student pharmacists must have reliable transportation when they are completing an Immersion or Advanced Immersion. Public transportation is not available in all areas of North Carolina. Additionally, many students will not be assigned at sites with other students that could provide transportation to the site. Students should be aware that up to a 60-mile commute to a practice site is a reasonable and appropriate commute, per School guidelines. Lack of reliable transportation is not an approved exemption for scheduling or region placement.
