Excused Absences for Religious Observations

Per UNC policy, students will be considered for excused absences due to religious observation on a case-by-case basis. A student who would like to request an excused absence due to religious observation should contact the course director and respective Associate Director, in Chapel Hill or Asheville, no less than two weeks prior to the requested absence. The course director and Associate Director will consult with the UNC Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance to render a decision on the excused absence request. The School will make every effort to accommodate excused absences due to religious observations.
