Non-Academic Probation
Students may be placed on Non-Academic Probation for one year (subsequent 2 semesters of full-time enrollment, plus summer if applicable) if they are found responsible for non-academic progression violations.
Non-Academic progressions violations may stem from failure to comply with policies as stated in the PharmD Student Handbook, PharmD Technical Standards, and/or the University Student Code of Conduct.
Non-Academic Probation may include (but is not limited to):
- Completion of an educational requirement.
- Participation in treatment, counseling, community service, or additional education requirements.
- Inability to hold leadership positions at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy including Student Senate, recognized ESOP student organizations, Peer Mentors, and RAP Ambassadors.
- Loss of scholarships offered through the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Foundation Office.
- Ineligibility for Dual-Degree and Certificate programs and/or Academic Scholars programs offered through the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
Pending completion of the required year of probation and any assigned sanctions, the student may return to non-probationary status, assuming no further concerns have been shared with the Scholastic Achievement and Progressions Committee.
Students that have not completed required sanctions and/or have additional violations may be subject to dismissal.
